# Invite and Manage Members

> Invite teammates one by one or from a CSV, manage pending invites, and deactivate or reactivate members.

You add people to your workspace and manage their access from **Members**. Each member has a role, a team and a seat type. To learn what each one controls, see [Teams, Roles & Seats](https://docs.attention.com/workspace-setup/teams-roles-seats.md).

## Open Members

1. In [Attention](https://app.attention.tech), click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then **Settings**.
2. Under **Member Management**, click **Members**.

The page has two sections: **Pending invites**, with the invitations that haven't been accepted yet, and **Organization members**, with everyone already in your workspace.

## Invite teammates

1. In **Pending invites**, click **Invite a teammate**. The **Invite teammates to Attention** dialog opens on the **Manual** tab.
2. For each person, fill in:
   * **Email**
   * **Role**
   * **Team**
   * **Seat type**: **Listener** or **Recording**
3. To invite more people at once, click **Add team member** to add a row. To remove a row, click the **−** button next to its email.
4. Click **Send invites**.

Attention emails each person an invitation, and they appear in **Pending invites** until they accept it.

## Import invites from a CSV

Use a CSV file to invite up to 100 people at a time.

1. Click **Invite a teammate**, then open the **Import CSV** tab.
2. Click **Download CSV template**. The template has four columns: `email`, `role`, `team` and `seat_type`.
3. Fill in one row per person:
   * **email**, **role** and **team** are required. Use the role and team names exactly as they appear in your workspace.
   * **seat\_type** is `listener` or `recording`. If you leave it empty, the person gets a Listener seat.
4. Save the file as a UTF-8 CSV (up to 2 MB), then click **Choose a CSV file** and select it.
5. Review the preview. Valid rows show **Valid**; rows with a problem, such as an unknown team, say what to fix.
6. Click **Send invites**. The button shows how many valid rows will be sent; rows with a problem are skipped.

When the import finishes, the dialog shows how many invites were sent and how many failed. Click **Download results** to get a CSV with the status of each row, or **Resubmit valid rows** to send the valid rows again.

## Manage pending invites

Each row in **Pending invites** shows the email, role, team, seat type and the date the invitation was sent. On the right of each row:

* **Resend invitation** (the send icon): sends a new invitation email. The link in the previous email stops working. Confirm with **Resend invitation**.
* **Delete invitation** (the trash icon): cancels the invitation. Confirm with **Delete invitation**.

## Change a member's role, team or seat

In **Organization members**, change a member's role, team or seat type directly in their row. See [Teams, Roles & Seats](https://docs.attention.com/workspace-setup/teams-roles-seats.md) for what each option means.

## Deactivate a member

1. In **Organization members**, on the **Active** tab, hover over the member's row and click the **⋮** menu at the end of it.
2. Click **Deactivate**.
3. Click **Deactivate member** to confirm.

The member can no longer sign in to Attention. You can't deactivate your own account; the **⋮** menu doesn't appear on your row. The calls and snippets they created stay in your workspace. They move to the **Deactivated** tab.

## Reactivate a member

1. In **Organization members**, open the **Deactivated** tab. Deactivated members show a **Deactivated** badge.
2. Hover over the member's row, click the **⋮** menu, then click **Reactivate user**.
3. Click **Reactivate member** to confirm.

The member moves back to the **Active** tab. To sign in again, they need to reset their password.
