# Share Snippets from a Call

> Create short, shareable clips from any conversation and track engagement.

A snippet is a clip of a call that you can share with a link. Use it to send the moment that matters instead of the full recording.

## 1. Open the **Snippets** tab

1. Go to **Conversations → All Calls** and open the call.
2. In the tab panel on the right, click **Snippets**. It lists the snippets already made from this call. For a tour of the call page, see [Navigate a Call Page](https://docs.attention.com/core-features/call-page.md).
3. Click **Add Snippet**. The **Create new snippet** dialog opens.

You can also open the dialog from the video: click the scissors icon (**Share snippet**) in the player controls, or press **S** while you watch.

## 2. Choose the time range

The range starts around the point you're at in the video. To change it:

* Drag the handles on the timeline below the video.
* Type the start and end times under **Snippet range**.
* Click a speaker's segment on the speaker tracks to select just that segment.
* Click **Select entire call** to use the whole recording.

Use the play button below the timeline to check the selection before you save.

## 3. Add a title and a comment

Both are optional.

* **Snippet title** — the name people see when they open the snippet.
* **Add a comment** — context for whoever watches it, up to 10,000 characters. A counter below the box shows how many you've used.

## 4. Pick a folder

Under **Save snippet in**, choose **My Library**, **Company Library** or one of their folders. If you don't pick one, the snippet goes to **My Library**.

## 5. Set the sharing settings

Under **Snippet sharing settings**:

* **Shareable with public** — On by default, so anyone with the link can watch. Turn it off to limit the snippet to people signed in to your Attention organization.
* **Notify me when snippet is viewed** — Off by default. Turn it on to get an email when someone opens the snippet.

## 6. Click **Save snippet**

The snippet link is now on your clipboard. The dialog shows **Snippet saved and ready to share! 🎉** with a preview of the clip.

To copy the link again, click **Copy link to snippet**. Paste it into an email, a chat or your CRM.

The new snippet appears in the call's **Snippets** tab and in the folder you picked. To find and organize your snippets later, see [Snippet Library](https://docs.attention.com/core-features/snippet-library.md).

## Share the full call instead

To share the whole recording, click **Share full call** at the top of the **Create new snippet** dialog. Set the sharing settings, click **Generate Shareable Link**, then **Copy shareable link**. See [Share a Call](https://docs.attention.com/core-features/share-a-call.md) for the details.
